We’re excited to announce our next Games & Tech event June 8th at Viatec from 5-7:30pm<\/strong>, it will include both a Cyber Security Talk followed by a local dev show and share!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talk – Cyber Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our main event will be a Cyber Security talk by Marc Speed, the Senior Security Architect at Skybox Labs<\/a> titled “Cyber Security: What is it? Why do it? And How to protect yourself at the office and at home.”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Skybox Labs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SkyBox Labs is a full-service game development studio based in Vancouver, BC, Canada and who recently opened an office here in Victoria!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2011, they developed titles alongside some of the world\u2019s top publishers including Xbox Game Studios, Bungie, and Electronic Arts. The studio is currently co-developing Halo Infinite, working on projects in the Minecraft universe, supporting the dev team at Bungie on Destiny 2: Lightfall, and supporting development of Fallout 76.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local Dev Show & Share!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The talk will be followed by a Show & Share session where local game devs and hobbyists looking for constructive community feedback can show what they’re working on with the local games & tech community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
