We’re excited to announce our next Games & Tech event June 8th at Viatec from 5-7:30pm, it will include both a Cyber Security Talk followed by a local dev show and share!
Talk – Cyber Security
Our main event will be a Cyber Security talk by Marc Speed, the Senior Security Architect at Skybox Labs titled “Cyber Security: What is it? Why do it? And How to protect yourself at the office and at home.”.
Skybox Labs
SkyBox Labs is a full-service game development studio based in Vancouver, BC, Canada and who recently opened an office here in Victoria!
Founded in 2011, they developed titles alongside some of the world’s top publishers including Xbox Game Studios, Bungie, and Electronic Arts. The studio is currently co-developing Halo Infinite, working on projects in the Minecraft universe, supporting the dev team at Bungie on Destiny 2: Lightfall, and supporting development of Fallout 76.

Local Dev Show & Share!
The talk will be followed by a Show & Share session where local game devs and hobbyists looking for constructive community feedback can show what they’re working on with the local games & tech community.
